Under the contract, Capgemini will deliver the central IT infrastructure services for Media-Saturn operations
Consulting, technology and outsourcing services provider Capgemini has signed an IT outsourcing contract with an European consumer electronics retailer, Media-Saturn.
Under the contract, Capgemini will host the data centres and deliver the central IT infrastructure services for Media-Saturn operations in more than 900 locations spread across 16 countries in Europe and Asia.
In addition, Capgemini will be responsible for all central IT infrastructure services at the corporate headquarters of Media-Saturn in Germany and its own marketing agency redblue Marketing in Germany, from second quarter of 2013.
The infrastructure services include: data centre services, management of operating systems and storage & backup services.
Capgemini Germany, Austria and Switzerland Infrastructure Services unit CEO Oliver Schwarz said, "We can offer our client a tailored combination of infrastructure services, which will enable them to benefit from the transformation of their IT."
