Logica provides outsourcing of IT infrastructure management, technical applications support for the UK house building business
UK-based homebuilders Taylor Wimpey has renewed its IT outsourcing contract with business and technology service company Logica for another five years.
Under the contract, Logica will provide outsourcing of IT infrastructure management, technical applications support, managed testing and project delivery services for the UK house building business, with development taking place from Logica locations based in the UK, India and the Philippines.
Taylor Wimpey has choosen Logica because of the level of service Logica provides, its understanding of technology needs for dynamic organisations and a commitment to providing best value.
In addition, Logica has been instrumental in delivering cost savings and improved services across Taylor Wimpey's 24 regional offices and around 300 building sites in the UK.
Taylor Wimpey CIO Andy Feldon said Taylor Wimpey chose to renew its contract for another 5 years following a thorough external benchmarking process, which not only confirmed value-for-money, but also positioned Logica as the right technical partner to work with Taylor Wimpey on its extensive programme of change.
Logica Transport & Commercial sector managing director Paul Muscat said the long-term relationship with Taylor Wimpey is testament to Logica's ability to deliver a consistent service to the customers.
"We are particularly excited about the next five years and supporting our partner in its goal to be the residential developer of choice for customers, employees and communities," said Muscat.
